Additional Information: Residency/Citizenship Change

You must submit your request to update your residency/citizenship status on UNSW records within 7 days of the date you are granted Australian or New Zealand citizenship or your Australian PR visa. 

The following documents will be accepted:

• Australian or New Zealand passport    • Australian or New Zealand citizenship certificate 

• Australian Permanent Resident visa label or a copy of your e-visa. 

All applications must be received prior to the relevant Semester census date of your commencing or next enrolment. Residency changes received after the census date will not be applied for that Teaching Period. The change will take effect from the next Teaching Period or semester census date.

Changes to Residency cannot be retrospectively applied.
