LOW YIELD
This is an update to let you know that we have completed library preparation for LIMSID and all samples have yielded libraries.
However, X SAMPLE/ XX SAMPLES/A SUBSET OF THE SAMPLES have yielded a low amount of library. Please see the attached excel file for details.
Note: Identify if this issue is sample related (e.g. failed QC) or if the underperforming libraries appear to be correlated with certain groups according to sample names. If so, inform client. If re-prep has been done, inform the client.
Please note that the low yield sample/s may generate less data compared to other samples, however we will do our best to pool the samples evenly.

FAILED
This is an update to let you know that we have completed library preparation for LIMSID. Unfortunately, XX SAMPLES/A SUBSET OF THE SAMPLES failed to yield a library. Additionally, XX SAMPLES/ A SUBSET OF THE SAMPLES have yielded a low amount of library. Please see the attached excel file for details.
We can proceed to normalisation and pooling of all samples, excluding the XX failed samples. Please note that the low yield samples may generate less data, however we will do our best to pool the samples evenly.
Alternatively, we can attempt the library prep again when we do the next batch of mRNA/total RNA/small RNA preparation but note that this will increase turnaround time (if samples are failed QC samples). As your samples have failed QC there will be a fee for re-prep.
You can re-submit new samples. Please note there will be a fee for re-prep.
