The Co-op Program is a prestigious and highly competitive scholarship program available in select degrees in the fields of business, engineering, technology and science, which enables students to form life-changing connections. Students in the Program will undertake up to 18 months of relevant experience with industry sponsors in a series of diverse placements during their studies. For 2026, students who secure a place in the Co-op Program are awarded a tax-free scholarship of $21,600 per year, guaranteed for four years.

The Co-op Program recognises that the ATAR is not the only indicator of a student’s potential and, as a Career Development program, understands the enormous richness and value that comes from diversity.

If you’re eligible for the Gateway Admission Pathway, you can apply for the Co-op Program with a reduced ATAR requirement of 90 (with EAS adjustment factors only). Please note that only domestic applicants are eligible to apply.

The Co-op application process is not connected to the Gateway Admission Pathway process for an early conditional offer, and you must submit separate applications independently. There are limited places available.

To apply for the Co-op Program as a Gateway applicant, you will need to apply for a Co-op Scholarship through the Co-op Application portal before the 30th of September, and the interview and offer process runs in parallel with any Gateway Admission Pathway application. Our system will recognise that you meet eligibility criteria for the Gateway Admission Pathway, and this will be taken into consideration when assessing your application and considering you for an interview. The application process is competitive, so please refer to the Co-op Program website for further information.
